They call me Wyatt. I'm 19 and I draw comics and lift weights. I'm attempting to make a fitness blog that offers inspiration, records my progress and shows art I find interesting or occasionally my art. Ask me a fitness realted question, and i'll answers it via video. Over the course of 4 years i've gained 10 pounds of muscle per year and i'm aiming for another 10 this summer! Anonymous: The routine is a huge help! thanks so much! Any recommendations on sets/reps? Or just do what feels right for me? Or....
Three sets of 8 is the magic number for muscle growth, but you’re going to want to prob do 10
but that is only true when you use a weight that makes 8 reps difficult, basically you pick a weight where you actually can’t do the 9th rep, however, that is a bit much for a beginner, but not too far of in your distance. Do a weight where you can get three sets of 10 for each move, when that becomes easy, meaning you can do three sets of 12, up the weight. The rule with reps is simple, the last 2 reps are the ones that build muscles, the other ones are just there to get you tired. as long as the last two reps are super hard and you can’t do a third, you’re golden. but never do less that 6 reps.
here is my rotation-
day one- chest and triceps
day two- back and biceps
rest day
day three- legs
rest day
repeat
you could also try a different secdule
day 1- chest, triceps, biceps, back-
day 2- legs
rest
repeat
all depends on how intense you are working out

Anonymous: So, what would you recommend as a good lifting routine for someone who's pretty much a beginner/doesn't have a decent gym nearby/only has dumbbells? (Challenge, I know, sorry D:)
Not a challenge or problem at all! If you have a good set of dumbbells you’re set!
alright, for chest,

-biceps and triceps
bicep curl http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sAq_ocpRh_I
tricep http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjT5WC0FyiU
legs-
sumo squats- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=epSh6qmKr14
stiff leg deadlifts- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wjjcieMn9s
any more question just ask, don’t feel like you need to do the weight a couple of these guys do, go at your own pace, the most important this is that YOU should be challenged.

So I go to my gym super early to get a workout in before the beach right?
I walk in the moment this place opens and what glorious song is playing for the I shit you not 15th time?
Can we just have a discussion about how my rear deltoids are coming along?
I’m so excited about my back workouts, i was feeling pretty bad about the most recent one, but my traps and read delts are defiantly showin results, so i’ll just have to stick to this regiment!
